L2BEAT Delegate Communication Thread

Here’s an update on what we’ve been up to for the first quarter of 2025.

Voting

[Tally] AAVE DAO Airdrop Claim Extension Request - Voted FOR

We were inclined to vote in favor of the proposal as we value Aave and their community, and we believe we shouldn’t let a technical difficulty get in the way of claiming their airdrop.

[Tally] Upgrade Governance Contracts - Voted FOR

We requested our research team at L2BEAT to review the proposed upgrades and the associated executable, where nothing concerning was found to make a vote against it. So, we voted in favor.

[Tally] Prepare ZKsync for ZK Gateway- Voted FOR

We asked L2BEAT’s research team to review the proposal before voting in its favor. Although we didn’t conduct a full-blown audit, our review highlighted some information that delegates should be aware of. In general, we agree with this proposal, so we have decided to support it.

[Tally] [ZIP-7] Lens Chain inclusion on Elastic Network - Voted FOR

We’re pleased to see Lens Chain joining the Elastic Network and believe that ensuring all user data is included in the genesis state will help streamline the migration. Having said that, we voted in favor of this on-chain voting.

[Tally] [ZIP-8] Upgrade Chain Creation Params - Voted FOR

Having previously backed ZIP-6, we see the proposed fix to ChainCreationParams as a logical step to address the discrepancy identified in ZIP-6. Our research team thoroughly reviewed the changes and confirmed that the provided calldata indeed calls the setChainCreationParams() function in the STM. So, we voted in favor of this proposal.

L2BEAT’s Office Hours

We want to remind everyone that every week, we’re hosting ZKSync Office Hours on Google Meets.

The office hours are held every Friday at 3 pm UTC/ 11 pm EST

During Office Hours, you will be able to reach L2BEAT’s governance team, which consists of Kaereste (Krzysztof Urbanski), Sinkas (Anastassis Oikonomopoulos), and Manugotsuka (Manuel González), and discuss our activity as delegates.

The purpose of the office hours is to gather feedback from the people who have delegated to us, answer any questions about our voting activities and rationale, and collect input on topics you’d like us to discuss.

You can add the L2BEAT Governance Calendar to your Google Calendar to find the respective Google Meets links for every call and easily keep track of Office Hours, as well as other important calls and events relevant to Connext that the L2BEAT governance team will be attending or hosting.
