Actions
- Leave feedback on the RFC: Standing Proposal Review Calls post
- Voting for ZIP-003 (Resubmission of ZIP-001) starts on Monday, December 16th.
Discussions:
- Resubmission of ZIP-001 & ZIP-002 - Full reasoning behind why it was necessary to resubmit can be found here.
- GAP to ratify proposal priorities for Token Assembly in 2025 is being drafted by the Gov Team. Will likely be on forum next week.
- GAP-001 Adopt SEAL Safe Harbor Agreement - Will likely go onchain this week.
- Delegate Incentives discussion based off of Tekr’s forum post:
- Tekr provided an overview of the discussion happening on the forum, why he wanted to start it, and what possible next steps could be.
- Attendees then dropped questions and topics they wanted to discuss into a Slido. The main part of the discussion focused on “responsibilities” vs “work” of Delegates. See timestamps in video description to listen to this discussion.
All of the questions from the Slido can be found here👇
- What will be the responsibiliites?
- How to run rewards as an automated smart contract?
- Isnt it too early?
- What would be the requirements to get the incentive? Voting %? Amount of ZK delegated? etc.
- What sort of behaviours (eg. governance activity, providing feedback, other contributions) should be prioritized through the program?
- I think balancing between big,.med and small delegates is.important
- When should we implement incentive program?
- Who will run the program?
- What exact activities you would reward?
- Do we expect delegates to provide work for the DAO (like research, oversight, accountability) or just make decisions?
- What is the opinion of ZK Chains and partners?
- Today, just 9 biggest delegates could decide if there shall be an incentive program or not. If you want to do it fair at the end, top 10 delegates shall abstain
- How to balance automation with manual oversight
- A lot of examples are about ecosystems with incentive programs as stipends or rewards directly, what about ecosystems where they don’t have these? Did they fail
- How can we define the responsibilities that are meaningful to ZKsync’s vision so we don’t just reward ‘participation’?
- What time commitment do we expect delegates to provide?
- Aside from voting and being active in the discussion around the proposals, what should delegates do?
- Who do you see benefiting the most from this program? Who will these rewards attract?
- I think incentivising delegates is a wrong thing to do in the first place. We shall rather look into ways to incentivise direct participation by all ZK holders
- Does anyone know any strengths/weaknesses from other DAO programs that we can learn from?
- What ecosystem milestones should be met and maintained to keep this program active? Is this only a program that’s active if Era has 3B in TVL?
- Is there evidence that these program examples produced impact?
- How do you measure meaningful/well informed contribution?
