Below is the thread to gather discussion topics for the upcoming call on Tuesday, February 4th.
Please drop discussion topics for the call in this thread! The goal is to collaboratively curate the agenda by having Delegates propose discussion topics (with reasoning) in this thread. Others can “upvote” a topic by liking the different posts, which will help prioritize the items for the agenda.
I will update this forum post the day of the call with a proposed agenda based on results from the thread. I will use that agenda as a guide to help facilitate the call.
@rafa@theshelb During the call yesterday it was mentioned that Boardroom serves as an alternative to Tally for our onchain votes. But, looking at our ZK Nation page (Boardroom) it seems that it is not updated or syncing. We have only one TPP (Catalys) listed there, and from then on nothing else.
Not sure how it works from the admin/moderator role, but currently looks like something is not working properly. Do we have to manage the Boardroom actively? If so, who should do that?
@Tekr0x.eth the Gov Team is aware of this and is in contact with the Boardroom team. This is related to the handover during Agora’s acquisition of Boardroom.
Interesting, I didn’t know Agora acquired Boardroom
I know that Optimism uses Agora and that its governance contracts are now incompatible with Tally. I hope that won’t be the case with ZK Nation governance, it’s beneficial to have another (backup) gov frontend besides Tally, just in case.
Check out the video description for timestamps on different discussion topics. Given we have the recording, notes will be kept very brief. Please watch the recording for full context!

“Validation phase” of governance:
The governance system is expected to complete the validation phase by the end of this week, once AAVE team successfully mints ZK from the CappedMinterV2.
At that point, at least 2 ZIPs, TPPs, and GAPs, will have been approved by the Token Assembly and executed.
The zkminter.org interface allows folks to deploy a new Minter contract with Safe multisig support. This interface uses the same exact contract address as the Capped Minter Factory V2, but it has a custom user interface. The governance team is excited to see the first community-created governance tool.
REMINDER: The Capped Minter Factory (V2) can also be accessed directly through the block explorer. As Rafa outlines in the **ZK Capped Minter V2** forum post, you are also able to deploy and “read” any data from capped minters in the ZkCappedMinterV2Factory. Details below:
The Gov Team will work on getting a Snapshot space set up this week. The ZKsync Association (Gov Team) will be the maintainer of this space. There will be no external admins in this space.
REMINDER: ZKsync governance is onchain. There is no requirement anywhere in the formal governance procedures or in the TPP Guidelines for proposal authors to use offchain tools, such as Snapshot, to gauge consensus on proposals at any stage. The final decision of the Token Assembly of whether a TPP should pass or not is determined when the final proposal is submitted onchain for voting.
Updates on two draft ZIPs on forum
Re timing with ETHDenver: Proposal authors want to make sure ETHDenver attendance won’t cause issues meeting quorum if these ZIPs are posted within next 2 weeks. Please drop comments or concerns below.
Protocol Governor Upgrade: Testnet upgrade complete and confirmed no issues, internal review complete, no external audit needed.
Prepare for ZKsync Gateway: Call data for testnet is being prepared. Will try get ready to post at same time as the other ZIP draft above.
The ZKsync governance system, specifically all 3 Governors (Protocol, Token & GovOps - see docs), are built on the OZ Governor standard. The canonical governance platform for ZKsync governance is Tally (vote.zknation.io) and is fully compatible with OZ contracts.
Possible changes to the Boardroom interface after the aqusition is something the Gov Team is trying to understand in our conversation with their team. We have a call with them next week.
Thank you for the short collection of information about what took place at the meeting. I think it’s a good idea about the Snapshot space.
How often do delegates meet? Twice a month?
And what is the difference between ZKsync Delegate Call and ZKsync Proposal Review Call?
Hey, check the calendar link in the original post of this topic. Calls are every week, it’s just that one week is a standing delegates call (a general discussion call for delegates), and the other week is a proposal review call, where we talk only about proposals.
Hey @DanielM! As @TempeTechie.eth mentioned, there are two separate calls that take place bi-weekly, rotating with each other.
Standing Delegated Calls: Every other Tuesday at 17:00 UTC. These calls are a dedicated time and space for Delegates to discuss broader topics, share updates, and engage in general planning and coordination. See more details about these calls.
Standing Proposal Review Calls: Every other Wednesday at 16:30 UTC. These calls provide a time for authors of active (onchain) or developing proposals (on forum) to briefly present and discuss their proposals. See more details about these calls.
