Our research team reviewed the upgrade and confirmed that ZIP-14 is a minimal, safe, and forward-compatible extension to the existing ZK token contract. The change is straightforward: it adds a public burn function and a role-gated burnFrom function, along with an on-chain max supply parameter. No breaking changes were introduced, and the incremental code surface is small and already audited.
