The following reflects the views of L2BEAT’s governance team, composed of @kaereste and @Sinkas, and it’s based on the combined research, fact-checking, and ideation of the two.
We’re voting FOR the proposal.
Setting strategic priorities that the whole DAO can get behind is a great step towards ensuring that the initiatives we undertake have cohesion and are working towards a common goal. It helps make the process of deciding which initiatives are worthwhile easier both for proposers but also for delegates.
We appreciate the Foundation leading the charge with setting those priorities as they’re best positioned to do so. We should, however, keep in mind that the priorities should not be set in stone, and we should, as a DAO, have the leeway to adapt to a potentially changing landscape during 2025.
As things are written right now, it seems like the focus is mostly on new apps. We’d like to see the priorities set in a way that truly encompasses TPPs like Ignite and focuses on both new and existing apps.
All in all, there’s nothing in the proposed priorities that makes us concerned or something that we’d be objected to and therefore we see no reason to be against it.
