Hi everyone, I’m Lindsey, one of the cofounders of Hedgey.
Hedgey builds free-to-use onchain token vesting, lockups, grants, and claiming infrastructure. We’ve been used by Wormhole, Puffer, ENS, Arbitrum, and hundreds of teams and thousands of recipients.
Our products are broken into two parts. The first part is a series of smart contracts that enable anyone to create custom token distribution strategies. The second part of our products is a mix of UIs that let issuers and recipients create and manage token distributions.
On the contract side of our products the main two buckets are time-based streams with customizable rules and Merkle tree based claims capable of supporting hundreds of thousands of recipients.
Our streams can be made revocable or non-revocable, unlock linearly (streaming every second) or periodically (weekly, monthly, single-date unlock, etc), and include onchain governance rights for locked/unvested tokens.
Our Merkle-tree based claims can be used to create claimable streams (using our streaming infrastructure) or to claim unlocked tokens.
From a jobs-to-be-done perspective, unlocked token claims have been used for both upfront distributions (to seed liquidity in a protocol at the start of a program) and milestone based distributions (issuing a set of unlocked claims bi-weekly/monthly to a set of recipients based on milestone achievements).
Our streaming revocable products have been used for the Arbitrum STIP/LTIP to issue “optimistic” rewards whereby a set of recipients was given vesting plans that unlocked on a bi-weekly basis and could be revoked by the issuer if criteria was not met or the recipient failed to report updates.
On the UI side of our products, Hedgey has an interface where issuers and recipients can track and interact with our products. We’ve also created and maintained custom UIs for teams like Puffer and Masa whereby recipients interacted with Hedgey products on custom designed interfaces hosted on those team’s websites. We’ve built complex systems for geofencing, DDoS protection, and T&C prerequisites for our own UIs and custom UIs. We have many teams independently integrating our smart contracts into their own interfaces as well.
Outside of our live smart contracts, Hedgey took part in the ZKSync Token Accountability MVP program. For that program we designed a completely new architecture for incentive programs. While it still needs a lot of work and audits, our long term goal is to add that to the toolkit for TPP builders.
Whether you want to build on Hedgey or just talk through ideas on creating an incentive program, I’m always happy to hop on a call and chat. Sharing my calendar here.
Cheers,
Lindsey
