Executive Summary

The ZK Stack Content Experiment, part of the Community Activation RFP #2 under the ZKsync Foundation’s Community Activation Token Program, aims to test scalable community-driven models for ecosystem growth. Administered by ZKnomist (Madmaxx), the 8-week program is divided into two parts: broad community participation in content creation (Part 1) and focused support for high-performing contributors (Part 2). The total funding is 300,000 ZK, with the first tranche (150,000 ZK) disbursed at the start. This mid-term report evaluates progress through the first 4 weeks, based on submitted content and performance metrics. Overall, the experiment has shown strong community engagement, with promising results in content volume and reach, supporting the release of the second tranche for continuation into Part 2.

Experiment Overview

  • Goals:

    • Amplify the ZK Stack ecosystem through reposts, commentary, and interactions.

    • Discover creative talent for future content and campaigns.

    • Onboard developers via tutorials, explainers, and walkthroughs.

  • Structure: Part 1 focuses on high-volume, community-created content such as tutorials, explainers, memes, short-form videos, and engagements. Part 2 will build on this by selecting top performers for deeper educational content.

  • Timeline: 8 weeks total, with a mid-term evaluation at week 4. A potential break may occur around the holiday period.

  • Funding: 300,000 ZK in two equal tranches, conditional on mid-term success.

  • Reporting: Mid-term report (this document) and final post-mortem to be published on the Governance Forum.

The experiment operates independently from other ZKnomist activities in the ZKsync Community Activation Pilot Program.Progress in the First 4 Weeks (Part 1). During the initial phase, community members submitted various content pieces primarily on X, including posts, memes, quotes (QRTs), threads, and video posts. Submissions began on December 2, 2025, and the data covers activities up to December 31, 2025, aligning four weeks of active content creation (assuming a start around December 1). This period saw broad participation from individual contributors and community groups, such as ZKsync Türkiye, ZK India, and Elastic Network.

Key activities included:

  • Sharing weekly updates, tutorials, and explainers in multiple languages (Turkish, Hindi, Vietnamese).

  • Creating memes and short-form content to boost engagement.

  • Informing communities about ZKsync updates like the Atlas upgrade and ADI Chain launch.

  • Threads and posts aimed at developer onboarding and ecosystem amplification.

Notable contributions came from prolific creators like DinoMaxZK (multiple memes and QRTs) and community accounts like joinelastic.(high-view threads).

The data demonstrates momentum in content production and audience reach.Overview of ZK Stack Content Experiment SubmissionsThe data includes 176 entries, each representing content submissions (primarily X posts) with associated engagement metrics. Key insights include total activity, contributor breakdowns, and content type distributions.

Challenges and Learnings

  • Holiday Timing: When social media activity often drops due to vacations, family time, and reduced online engagement.

  • Engagement Depth: While views are high, comments remain low, indicating opportunities for more interactive formats.

  • Positive Learnings: Localized content (non-English) shows promise for global expansion; memes prove effective for quick amplification.

Next Steps

  • Part 2 Transition: Select 10 top contributors from Part 1 for focused, high-quality content (in-depth tutorials). Creation of ZKsync HUB - more developer oriented content. Support for creating another regional channel (China). Begin post-holiday break if needed.

  • Monitoring: Continue tracking via the sheet, aim for increased developer-focused deliverables.

  • Final Evaluation: Complete program by early February 2026, with post-mortem report to the Governance Forum.
