We are a team of dedicated governance enthusiasts who have been in the governance space for over four years. Our team were some of the first members involved in defi governance and we want to apply what we have learned over the years to zkSync.
Members of the team have been using zkSync since testnet and have been involved heavily on chain, including helping the team deploy Aave v3 on testnet. Later, our team helped deploy Uniswap v3 and facilitate the deployment of $500k of UNI rewards on the chain. In addition to holding significant amounts of the token ourselves, we have angel invested in a couple zkSync native teams as well! We intend to keep and hold these tokens long term and continue to build our reserves, aligning ourselves financially with the DAO. We’re excited to become delegates and are grateful to be along for the journey!
Core Values:
Growth: Our decisions are primarily focused on the growth of the protocol. This often results in how to spend money efficiently, but even more importantly and objecting for unreasonable spends and knowing when to vote no.
Transparency: Clear communication with votes and explanations of reasoning, and an equivalent demand for proposals to do the same. Too often we see thousands, if not millions, being rolled up together and glossed over during proposals.
Accountability: Too often once a decision is done, having proper accountability becomes an afterthought. Whether it’s a DAO promise or a grant or a new program, once a DAO votes something in, we forget about it. Our goal with PGov is to both continue to check in on these decisions as well as ensure that there are proper channels set up to ensure accountability.
Conflicts of Interest:
If situations arise, we will abstain from a vote, and clearly state the conflict on the forums.
We voted For: Excited to see this first TPP proposal go live! Big props to the Merkl and OBL teams for taking the initiative here and kicking off a sure to be exciting program. We look forward to future TPP on the forums!
We voted For: These quality of life improvements to the protocol enhance readability, maintainability, and gas efficiency. We are in strong support of this.
We voted For: We don’t see any downsides to this votes, especially with the security council formed. This allows for more robust and efficient executions.
We voted For: Thanks to Rafa for spearheading this. We think the priorities outlined here and roadmap for this upcoming year makes total sense and we are in support!
We voted For: These terms are reasonable and we have seen this across quite a few DAOs. Doinng so here ensures if things ever go wrong, they will be able to help!
We voted For: The redeployment of the governance contracts allows for a more robust and adaptable governance going forward. No complaints and straight forward!
We voted For: Pretty straight forward. We’re excited to see Lens come into the Elastic Network and are confident this will be one of the most recognized and “blue chip” chains. Impressed by all of the background work here on this.
ETH Denver 2025
Special thanks to @theshelb and @rafa for hosting a great ETH Denver delegate day and zkSync events. Highly recommend all delegates to go in the future as it gave us a lot of clarity on vision and just overview of DAO and governance resources!
We voted For: This upgrade aligns the genesisBatchHash and genesisBatchCommitment param with the rest of the relevant contracts and we see no concerns.
We voted For: We are in support of this V27 EVM Emulation upgrade. The upgrade improves developer’s experiences within the ecosystem and there is a substantial 30% cost reduction for many specific aspects. The proposal demonstrates a strong back end team preparation and technical implementation.
We voted For: This program, albeit with some issues, makes a lot of sense to us. Funding the tech implementation of successful proposals, especially those with high operational costs, is logical and should encourage more technical output.
We voted For: The V28 upgrade adds native support for elliptic curve operations (ECAdd, ECMul, ECPairing) and modular exponentiation (ModExp) within the ZkEVM circuit framework. We are in favor of the more efficient proof verification, lowering the execution code while maintaining the same functionality.
We voted For: Approving ZK Gateway as an optional shared settlement layer for the Elastic Network reduces settlement costs and might help with pricing for users. No big issues that raise a flag for us.
