[RFC] Governance Platform Migration & Staking Continuity

The Issue
On March 17, 2026, Tally announced it is winding down operations. Tally currently powers ZKsync’s onchain voting and the ZKnomics Staking Pilot.

Given that ZK Nation has not yet addressed this publicly, I’m raising it here to prompt a community discussion and ensure we approach the transition in a coordinated and deliberate manner. We believe the community should immediately begin evaluating for a long-term home.

Questions for the Foundation & Community:

  1. Has the Foundation been in contact with Tally on a transition plan?
  2. Is the staking UI and rewards stream technically dependent on Tally?
  3. What does ZK Nation actually need from a governance platform?

Call to Action
We encourage the Foundation and relevant stakeholders to share a formal update with the community as soon as possible. While the silence so far is understandable given the recency of the news, providing a clear path forward is vital for ecosystem confidence.

Hey @Curia thanks for the question. The Governance Team has been working with the Tally team over the past weeks to find a solution on how to ensure uninterrupted support for ZKsync governance and the Staking Pilot program. This was discussed on the last Proposal Review call on March 18th (see call notes).

We have found a solution that will avoid any interruptions or changes to the primary ZKsync governance & staking interface for the foreseeable future. We hope to be able to announce the solution publicly soon.
