Tempe Techie - Delegate Communication Thread

Hey everyone, my name is Tempe Techie. My ENS is TempeTechie.eth. On socials, you can find me on Farcaster. I prefer decentralized social networks over centralized ones such as X or FB.

I am a software developer with over 10 years of working experience. Since 2022 I work full-time in the web3 space as an independent programmer and contributor.

You can see my ZK Nation voting history on my Tally profile. I will share rationale for my votes here in this delegate communication thread.

NOVEMBER 2024

Proposal: [ZIP-002] Reduce the execution delay from 21 hours to 3 hours
Voted: FOR
Rationale:

Since the Security Council and Matter Labs (where the proposal author comes from) both agree with reducing the execution delay down to 3 hours, I have no reservations confirming this proposal.

DECEMBER 2024

Proposal: [ZIP-003] Resubmission of Protocol Defense
Voted: FOR
Rationale:

This is a resubmission of a proposal which was already confirmed before. I voted FOR the proposal because it brings code quality improvements and optimizations (e.g. better code readability, lower gas costs) via code refactoring to ZKsync Era.

JANUARY 2025

Proposal: [GAP-1] ZKsync Token Program Priorities 2025 Endorsement
Voted: FOR
Rationale (link):

I agree with the proposal, especially the apps part. A lot of good work has been done so far on the protocol level, but now we need to shift focus more towards the top of the stack (apps) to attract (and retain) users and TVL.

Proposal: [GAP-2] Adopt The SEAL Safe Harbor Agreement
Voted: FOR
Rationale:

I voted FOR the proposal. It’s a good and very welcomed proposal which bring guidelines and best practice when it comes to rapid response for exploits.

Proposal: [ZIP-4] Reduce the execution delay from 21 hours to 3 hours
Voted: FOR
Rationale:

I voted FOR, it’s a repeat of a previous proposal, just a formality.
