The ZKnomist - Community Activation Program - Season 2 Report

Season 2 Overview and Recap

Season 2 of the ZKsync Community Activation Pilot Program represents the second six-month execution phase, focused on strengthening global awareness, education, and community engagement around ZKsync and its network of ZK Chains.

During this period, the primary objective shifted toward increasing reach and visibility for ZKsync, ensuring that product developments, ecosystem milestones, and institutional positioning around Prividium, the ZK Stack, and the broader ZKsync Chains reached a wider audience.

Content execution prioritised X for ecosystem-wide visibility, with Discord serving as a coordination and announcement hub following a structural shift in April 2026.

Output included ecosystem recaps, technical explainers, original videos, governance updates, partnership highlights, case studies, community calls, and podcast episodes covering ZKsync’s product roadmap, institutional offerings, and ecosystem growth.

TheZKnomist team continued executing throughout the full Season 2 window, supporting improved content consistency, narrative clarity, and reach growth across the reporting period.

Reminder of Key Deliverables

Season 2 of the ZKsync Community Activation Pilot Program continues the support for sustained ecosystem communication, education, and community coordination across ZKsync’s core channels and TheZKnomist initiative. Key deliverables include:

  1. 5 posts + 2 original videos on X per week focusing on ZKsync and ecosystem news.

  2. Up to 4 community calls per month.

  3. 2 ZKsync Chain Case studies per month.

  4. Discord community management.

Additionally, TheZKnomist is required to summarise completed tasks and actions to produce a performance report.

Key Projects or Activities Completed

During the Season 2 reporting period, TheZKnomist team executed the deliverables to support the ZKsync account channels and community, with work running continuously from March through August 2026.

Activities were structured around recurring content production, visual support, community engagement, and ecosystem documentation, aligned with the scope approved under the proposal. The following sections detail execution against each approved deliverable.

  • Five Posts per Week on X

TheZKnomist committed to helping deliver a minimum cadence of five posts per week on X in support of ZKsync’s account channels and broader ecosystem communications. Throughout the Season 2 reporting period, this baseline was consistently exceeded.

On the ZKsync account, TheZKnomist supported visual content production in the form of static images, short visual videos in 3D and 2D, explainer animation videos, and interview, panel session, podcast, and conference appearance clips, totalling one to three posts per day from Monday to Sunday.

Content covered Prividium, ZKsync updates, ZKsync and ZKsync Chain ecosystem developments, governance, and the ZK token, including educational material to support specific programs such as the staking pilot program.

The weekly cadence also included the Weekly Roundup thread post on Sundays, with each tweet featuring its own video visual.

On TheZKnomist’s account, the publishing cadence maintained seven to fourteen posts per week through threads, articles, quote tweets, and retweets focused on ZKsync and projects building on top of the ZK Stack or Prividium.

This sustained output complemented the ZKsync account by providing additional context, ecosystem coverage, and long-form analysis, amplifying ZKsync’s core narratives.

  • Two Original Videos per Week on X

TheZKnomist committed to producing a minimum of two original videos per week on X to support ZKsync’s account channels. During Season 2, this requirement was consistently met and exceeded.

On the ZKsync account, TheZKnomist delivered visual content daily, including original 3D and 2D video visuals, explainer videos, and clips from conference appearances, interviews, panels, and podcast episodes.

On TheZKnomist’s own account, the two-video-per-week cadence was maintained throughout Season 2, covering ZKsync updates, technical explainers, partnership developments, and ZKsync Chains updates, including Abstract Chain, GRVT, GenLayer, ADI Chain, Cari Network, and others.

  • Up to Four Community Calls per Month

In line with the approved deliverables, TheZKnomist facilitated recurring community engagement through X Spaces and podcast sessions during Season 2.

Approximately ten community X Spaces and podcast episodes total were conducted across the six months, with scheduling adjusted to accommodate the availability of Matter Labs team members and ecosystem partners.

The ZKsync Community Sync, an X Space format conducted in collaboration with the Matter Labs team, was maintained at a cadence of once every two weeks to once a month.

These sessions covered product updates, governance developments, roadmap progress, and broader ecosystem activity.

In addition, TheZKnomist produced podcast episodes featuring team members from ZKsync and founders of projects building on the ZK Stack or Prividium, scheduled at least once a month when guest availability allowed.

  • Two ZKsync Chain Case Studies per Month

As part of the approved deliverables, TheZKnomist produced recurring ZKsync Chain case studies designed to deepen understanding of ecosystem partners and applications within the Elastic Network. During Season 2, this deliverable was expanded beyond the original scope.

TheZKnomist delivered two to four case studies per week through a combination of articles and threads, covering ZKsync updates, ecosystem explainers, and in-depth coverage of projects building on top of Prividium and the ZK Stack.

Written content mirrored the same ecosystem coverage as the video output but in long-form format, providing detailed case studies of teams such as GRVT, ADI Chain, Cari Network, Abstract Chain, and others, alongside ZKsync product and governance explainers.

  • Discord Community Management

During Season 2, TheZKnomist supported Discord community management for ZKsync through a period of structural transition.

In April 2026, the Discord channel shifted toward functioning primarily as an announcement and updates channel, with TheZKnomist posting ZKsync-related updates and announcements to maintain timely communication with the community.

TheZKnomist continued reporting to the ZKsync Foundation, Matter Labs, and ZKGPS, ensuring that community-facing concerns were addressed.

  • Visual Support for ZKsync

Throughout Season 2, TheZKnomist provided ongoing visual support for ZKsync. Visual output included ZKsync, ZK Token, and Prividium-related visual content in the form of 3D and 2D video, static images, and explainer animation videos.

Production was not limited to visual fillers: output also covered new partnership announcements, product releases, report publishing, and ecosystem update announcements, delivering at least one visual content piece per day from Monday to Sunday.

In addition to producing visual assets, TheZKnomist supported the ZKsync account through strategic content guidance, including helping suggest which posts to reply to regarding ZKsync, Prividium, and products and projects across the ZK Stack ecosystem.

  • Additional Support for ZKsync

Beyond the scope defined in TPP-8, TheZKnomist contributed additional support initiatives during Season 2 that complemented ZKsync’s broader community activation and ecosystem growth efforts.

TheZKnomist executed three community marketing campaigns on Rally, a platform within the Elastic Network ecosystem. The three campaigns were:

  1. The Bank Stack of Ethereum: Combining Institutional Privacy (March 2 to March 16, 2026), recording 1,267 submissions from 346 participants.
  2. The Institutional Shift: From TradFi to ZKsync (April 27 to May 11, 2026), recording 1,271 submissions from 427 participants.
  3. The Decade Decides: ZKsync and the 2026 Institutional Window (June 2 to June 24, 2026), recording 1,258 submissions from 480 participants.

Across all three campaigns, a combined total of 3,796 submissions and 1,253 participants were recorded, with participant growth increasing from 346 in the first campaign to 480 in the third, indicating community interest.

TheZKnomist also supported the RFP campaign to help promote and boost awareness of ZKsync’s Community Activation Pilot Program.

Additionally, TheZKnomist provided campaign support on the ZKsync account in terms of ideation, visual production, and operational support when utilising specific platforms.

TheZKnomist also provided weekly and quarterly reports on the social media performance of the ZKsync account, delivered to the Matter Labs team.

Top Posts

Throughout Season 2, TheZKnomist delivered visual content across four primary categories to support ZKsync’s account channels:

Big Announcements

Visual production for major ecosystem announcements, including the Cari Network launch, partnerships with BitGo and Revolut, and ZKsync product releases.

Each required high-impact, timely creative execution to match the scale and urgency of the announcement moment.

Explainer Videos

Original explainer videos produced in collaboration with the Matter Labs team, breaking down ZKsync products, Prividium features, and ecosystem infrastructure.

The format translated complex technical concepts into accessible, narrative-driven content designed to educate both existing community members and new audiences.

Creative Videos

Visually engaging video content designed to keep ZKsync’s feed varied while remaining educational and engaging.

Beyond standalone reach, creative videos also served as amplification tools, re-contextualising existing content to extend its shelf life across the feed.

Other Contents

Reports, highlight videos, teasers, interview snippets, and other creative or supporting visuals produced to complement the main content categories.

From report publishing graphics to conference appearance clips, this category captured the day-to-day visual output that kept ZKsync’s feed active and consistent between major announcements.

The top 25 highest-performing posts across all four categories during Season 2 are documented in the following sheet: Top Posts for Season 2.xlsx

Performance Overview

Across March to August 2026, ZKsync’s X performance demonstrated clear and sustained reach growth aligned with Season 2’s objective of expanding visibility and reach.

Total impressions grew from approximately 1.2 to 1.4 million per month in March and April to over 3.25 million in July, representing more than a doubling of monthly reach across the season.

  • Post-level efficiency improved substantially, with average impressions per post rising from approximately 9,000 in early Season 2 to over 30,000 by late July and August, reflecting a strategic shift toward higher-quality, narrative-driven content.

  • Original video visuals remained the highest-reach standalone format throughout the season, with content mix playing a significant role in determining weekly reach outcomes.

One consistent structural driver was the Weekly Roundup, a recurring Sunday thread format originally proposed by TheZKnomist, consolidating the week’s key ZKsync and ZKsync Chain updates into a single structured thread with each tweet featuring its own video visual.

During its run, the format consistently delivered the highest thread-level reach and engagement totals of any content block each week, generating 96,000 to 157,000+ views per thread.

The Weekly Roundup’s structural role reinforced that reach growth during Season 2 was driven not only by milestone-driven content but also by consistent, format-level execution.

Challenges and Learnings

The primary challenge during Season 2 was sustaining engagement depth alongside rapidly expanding reach, as total impressions grew significantly from March through July while engagement experienced a structural compression.

This pattern is consistent with expanded reach delivering content to audiences beyond the core engaged community, a common dynamic when visibility scales faster than community growth.

  • Institutional and Prividium-focused content, supported by original video visuals and clear product positioning, consistently outperformed general updates in both reach and engagement efficiency.

  • The Weekly Roundup format proved to be a durable structural anchor, and its absence in later periods coincided with measurable engagement contraction.

  • Rally campaign participation grew from 346 to 480 across three campaigns, validating incentive-based activation as a scalable complement to organic content.

  • The Discord transition in April 2026 toward an announcement-focused channel model required operational adjustment but ultimately simplified communication flow.

These learnings reinforce that sustained reach growth depends on combining milestone-driven content with consistent format-level execution and structured community activation.

Impact Assessment

Season 2’s contribution centred on scaling reach, with monthly impressions growing from approximately 1.2 million in April to over 3.25 million in July.

Content production capacity also expanded, with Season 2 output reaching 609 total content pieces across approximately 23 weeks of tracked execution.

Community activation through Rally campaigns provided an additional measurable layer, with 3,796 total submissions and 1,253 participants across three campaigns during Season 2.

The weekly and quarterly social media performance reports introduced during Season 2 established a structured accountability and feedback mechanism, providing data-driven visibility and positioning on an ongoing basis.

Closing Statements

Season 2 of the ZKsync Community Activation Pilot Program delivered measurable reach growth across all tracked metrics, with monthly impressions more than doubling from March through July and per-post reach efficiency increasing by 285.6% across the season.

TheZKnomist executed all approved deliverables consistently throughout the six months, supporting both the ZKsync and TheZKnomist accounts through daily visual production, weekly reporting, community engagement, and ecosystem documentation.

The program’s Season 2 objective of expanding awareness and visibility for ZKsync, Prividium, and the broader ZK Stack ecosystem has been met. This report fulfils the performance reporting requirement under the scope of services.
