Update to ZKsync Association Board of Directors

As we near the 2-year anniversary of the ZK token airdrop, the ZKsync Association announces the rotation of its Board of Directors.

Thomas Bernardini will step down from his role as Chairperson, having previously also served as Treasurer. During his tenure, Thomas supported the operationalization of the Association following its formation, including overseeing the publication of the ZK Token Whitepaper and entity financial reporting.

Tamara Rubey, the Association’s initial Chairperson, will not be resuming her position after a period of leave that began in summer 2025. Tamara played a central role in the establishment of the Association, including its early governance framework and institutional setup.

The Association thanks both Thomas and Tamara for their contributions during its formation and first year of operations.

Anamaria Fuiorea will join the Board as Chairperson. Anamaria is a compliance and regulatory executive with over 20 years of experience across fintech, banking, and regulated industries. She has focused her career on designing and scaling compliance, risk management, and anti-financial crime frameworks across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Her expertise includes fintech, blockchain, and digital assets, with a strong emphasis on operationalizing regulatory requirements.

Fiona Brennan will join the Association as Treasurer. Fiona is a co-founder of Cara Global and provides independent directorship services, consultancy and strategic advice to companies in the blockchain, Web3, digital asset, RWA and AI industries. Fiona has deep, relevant, hands-on experience derived from her active role as an independent, non-executive director on the largest protocols and projects in the digital asset space, along with a proven track record of implementing strong corporate governance frameworks. Before moving into corporate governance, Fiona practised as a lawyer in Ireland and the Cayman Islands for many years.

These appointments maintain continuity in ongoing operations, while preparing the Association’s administrative and oversight capabilities for the next phase of ZKsync and zk-technologies.

The Board changes have been made in accordance with the Association’s Articles of Association and governance framework. Further details on the Association’s structure and mandate are available in the Association’s public documentation.
