Ignite Cancellation Process Update (29th April 2025)
Now that the Ignite Program has officially come to a close, we wanted to provide an update on the next steps for formally concluding program down. The following actions have been completed:
- Remaining ZK token rewards for Season 1 were sent to the distributor contracts as planned on Monday, March 17th, 2025. Rewards from Season 1 are available to claim until June 30th, 2025. All unclaimed rewards after June 30th, 2025 are planned to be returned to the Token Assembly to be used in future governance initiatives.
- All service provider contracts were fully paid and concluded from the four IP_Admin capped minters as of March 30th, 2025.
Next Step: Deactivating Capped Minters
Please note that the limitations considered here are specific to the Ignite Program deployed with ZkCappedMinterV1 contracts. For future token programs, the ZkCappedMinterV2 contracts allow the deactivation of a ZkCappedMinterV2 through the admin controlled
cancel()
function. Please refer to the following documentation for more information.
The next step is to deactivate all capped minters affiliated with the Ignite program. This can be done in one of two ways:
- DeFi Steering Committee (DSC) multisig control is transferred to the burn address; or
- A Token Assembly proposal revokes the Minter Role from the active Capped Minters
For Ignite, the DSC multisig is the Campaign Manager for all Ignite Campaigns and cannot be changed. The unclaimed tokens would not be recoverable if the multisig control is locked by setting the owner as the burn address.
As a result, a Token Program is necessary to remove the Minter Role from all Ignite capped minters. This proposal is currently being drafted and will be submitted on the forum for review ahead of a vote.
