Season 1 of the ZKnomics Staking Pilot Program is starting on Monday, February 9th! :spiral_calendar:

The ZKnomics Staking Pilot Program is a designed to test staking infrastructure, understand participant dynamics, and increase active voting power through its delegate-to-stake mechanism. Learnings from Season 1 will be used to inform future seasons and the staking mechanism for the decentralized sequencer once live.

Note to Delegates: The program requires participants to delegate their ZK to active Delegates in order to be eligible for rewards. This is an opportunity to gain more voting power by remaining active in voting participation.

Proposal Updates

New TPPs on Forum:

[TPP-Draft] ZKsync Association Donation - This proposal is a donation request to support ZKsync Association’s purpose as a non-profit issuer of the ZK Token and steward of ZKsync governance.

  • Total Funding Request: 64M ZK (~$1.6M @$0.025)
  • This proposal is a donation request. In accordance with its non-profit status, the ZKsync Association is reliant on donations to fulfill its purpose**.** For this reason, this proposal is not connected to specific deliverables but contains certain donation language and an intended use description following the ZKsync Association’s AoA, rather than specific deliverables for coming year. Please reference the 2024-2025 Operational Report to inform yourself on the work the ZKsync Association has done over the past year. See more details around this proposal here.

[TPP-Draft] ZKsync Audit Reimbursement Program 2026 (ZARP v2) - This proposal requests funding for ZARP v2 through 2026. Many of you Delegates remember the original ZARP proposal [TPP-3] that was approved in May last year.

  • Total Funding Request: 205M ZK (~$4M @$0.02)
  • ZARP v1 ended on January 31st, 2026. This program deploys the next iteration of the audit reimburesment program for protocol upgrades. Please note that ~39M ZK remained unminted from ZARPv1.

[TPP-Draft] ZKsync Immunefi Bug Bounty Program 2026 - This proposal seeks funding for the ZKsync bug bounty program on Immunefi. This is an existing program that was previously funded by Matter Labs and acts as a critical security measure to help identify vulnerabilities across different protocol components.

  • Total Funding Request: 100M ZK (~$1.6M @$0.02)
  • This bug bounty program has already proven useful, having caught

Note from call discussion: Auditors and the Security Council play distinct roles in protocol security. Auditors check the code works as intended, where the Security Council checks for risks/potential malicious enablement the code may include. The bug bounty program enables white-hat hacks to find any bugs/vulnerabilities of existing code to help further strengthen the security of the protocol. Having this layered security infrastructure in place will be critical to ensure security of the ZKsync protocol. See minute 38:17 in recording for full discussion.

Live Token Program Updates

  • Community Activation Program: Season 1 for the 3 existing initiatives that were funded through TPP-8 is coming to a close at the end of February. As part of their reporting requirement and assessment for Season 2 extension, they have posted reports on the forum outlining highlights from their contributions in Season 1. Representatives from the different initiatives joined the call last night to present a few highlights from their Season 1 contributions.
