Overview
The ZKsync Association is funding a Proposal Sponsor Bounty pilot. The program will award a bounty of $250 USDC on ZKsync Era to Delegates who sponsor Token Program Proposals that are executed onchain following Token Assembly approval.
The objective of this initiative is to recognize the effort and resources involved in sponsoring a proposal for proposal authors without proposal power. Recent proposal submissions have shown that proposal sponsors often spend 1-3 hours reviewing the design and call data for a TPP that is submitted onchain. As a response, we are introducing a pilot program to support Delegates for their time.
Delegates who have sponsored a TPP onchain from Q3 2025 (from June 1st 2025) onwards that has been approved by the Token Assembly and executed onchain are eligible to claim a bounty.
If successful, the Governance Team will work to formalize, automate, and build-on this program.
The total budget allocated by the ZKsync Association’s operational costs to this pilot program is $4k USDC. The pilot will run until the initial funding has been distributed, or pilot outcomes provide evidence of alternative design requirements.
Objectives
- To acknowledge the time and resources involved for Delegate to sponsor a governance proposal.
- To ease friction experienced by proposal authors when sourcing Delegates who are able to sponsor a governance proposal.
- To strengthen the community of active Delegates who meet proposal threshold and are interested in sponsoring governance proposals.
Eligibility and Scope
- Eligible Participants: Delegates who sponsor a TPP that is executed onchain after approval by the Token Assembly.
- Eligibility Period: The bounty is available to claim for all onchain proposals that have been approved by the Token Assembly since Q3 2025.
- Type of Proposals: Applies to the Token Programs Proposals submitted on the Token Governor.
- Priority: Bounties will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds for the pilot are expended.

This pilot program is being trialled with TPPs, and will not include ZIPs and GAPs. As we learn more, we will test other mechanisms to address other proposal-related work.
Bounty Details
- Bounty Amount: $250 USDC on ZKsync Era per executed proposal.
- Bounty Trigger: Bounty is awarded once a TPP is officially executed on ZKsync Era.
