Block-Lympics - the true degen-tech Olympiad aka the Blockchain Demand Boost (BDB)

The BDB Steering Committee is currently in formation and consists of:

  • Cole - 404 DAO
  • Jun - PGov
  • Raphael - StableLab

Pre-Proposal

Starting from the simple fact that blockchains sell blockspace, the BDB steering committee introduces the true degen-tech Olympiad.

  • The BDB is a competition.
  • The BDB is a game.
  • The BDB calls forth ethical hackers and tinkerers.
  • The BDB accelerates the adoption of the ZKSync development roadmap.
  • The BDB helps to create a home for elastic apps.

And what a home it will be.

The details of the program are under development and will be announced on the ZK Nation Forum shortly. Stay tuned.

For now, we can disclose this much:

The BDB would be a multi-round tournament where the apps that consume the most blockspace in a sound, fun, and value-accruing way will be rewarded - big time.

The competition would be value- and vertical-neutral, meaning that the steering company has no say in what makes a great app. The market and the app’s customers are the ultimate arbiters.

We are calling forth builders, degens and innovators who want to be part of the steering committee and share their technical knowledge and deep understanding of ZKSync development with the current members, who will work to support and coordinate.

If you have deep experience developing dApps or tooling for the elastic chain, or have launched memecoins, agent marketplaces or inscription projects. We want you!

We’re also interested in talking to kick-ass marketers and front-end developers. We have capabilities and contacts, but we felt this needed to be opened up to ZK Nation.

I love this and I can only assume what you have planned. :slight_smile:

I’ve always thought that the grand vision of TPPs in general is perfectly suitable for competitions! I had similar ideas around this topic so this resonates with me.
