The standing Proposal Review Calls will be a time for authors of active (onchain) or developing proposals (on forum) to briefly present and discuss their proposals. This is also a great opportunity for the community to ask questions or discuss more complex aspects of proposals live on a call.
Every other Wednesday (alternating weeks with Standing Delegate Calls)

Why a separate call?
The suggestion to hold a separate call for reviewing proposals stems from a desire to preserve the purpose of Standing Delegate Calls. The Standing Delegates Calls serve as a platform for Delegates to engage in discussions on more general topics, share updates on ongoing proposal ideas or other governance initiatives, and to get questions answered from the Gov Team or other stakeholders in the ZK Nation ecosystem. Establishing a dedicated standing call for proposal reviews ensures that each topic receives the time and attention it deserves for meaningful Delegate discussion.
NOTE: Proposal authors are always welcome to schedule their own Proposal Review calls to discuss their proposals. Once you have them coordinated, please let @theshelb know if you want those calls added to the ZKsync Delegate Call calendar . We can also record these and add them to the ZK Nation Youtube channel.
Format/Agenda
The agenda for the calls will be determined by the number of active proposals onchain and on the forum at the time of the call. The Friday before the call Shelby (@theshelb) from the Governance Systems Team will post a thread on the forum (under Delegate Calls ). Shelby will try to currate the participation of authors of onchain proposals, but for those on still in the discussion/draft phase of the forum it would be great if you could add a comment in the thread that week if you would like some time to present your proposal on the call.
Shelby will update the forum post the day of the call with the new agenda based on results from the forum. The resulting agenda will be used as a guide to help facilitate the call.
Prioritization of Presentations:
To give a bit of structure to these calls, we will use the following priority list as a guide to plan the agenda
- P1: Voting is live onchain
- P2: Onchain - in voting delay
- P3: Proposal draft on forum
- P4: “Discussion” for proposal idea on the forum
Facilitation
Shelby from the Gov Team will facilitate these calls for now and help organize attendance of proposal authors for these calls. I will also be there to answer any questions you may have for the Association.
Notes/Recording
These calls will be recorded and will be posted on the ZK Nation YouTube channel under the “Proposal Review” playlist. The recordind and some brief notes and links will be shared in the corresponding call thread on the forum.
